Mumbai: The largest SBI in the country recorded a loss of 2,416.37 million rupees in the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The bank gave this information on Friday. In the regulatory deposit filed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the bank said it recorded a loss of Rs 2,416.37 crore during the quarter ended December 31, compared to Rs 2,610 crore in the same period of the Previous exercice. During the quarter under review, SBI's total revenue was 62,887.06 crores, or 53,587.51 crores of rupees during the quarter ended December 31, 2016.

During the period under review, the gross debt of SBI (Outstanding Assets or GNPA) amounted to Rs 1.99,141.34 crore and the net NPP to Rs 1.02,370.12 crore. During the third quarter in fiscal year 2016-2017, the GNPA was 1.08,172.32 crores and the NPA was 61,430.45 crores.
