Sun storms in the northern states including Delhi, on Sunday

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of cyclonic winds in next 24 hours in some areas of the Northeast including Assam due to the impact of western disturbance on the part of the North-Eastern states from Jammu and Kashmir. According to the report released by the department on Saturday evening, the impact of the low pressure area created in Western Afghanistan and surrounding areas due to western disturbance has persisted in some states of central India. Due to this, cyclonic storms have been prone to some areas in North Western Madhya Pradesh and southwest Rajasthan to Eastern Vidarbha.

These weather conditions will also be affected by other northern states. Because of this, the forecast of storm or strong winds in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and some areas of Uttar Pradesh has been forecast in the next 24 hours. In addition, there has been speculation of heavy rains in North Eastern States and South Peninsular areas. Meanwhile, the Department has expressed the possibility of the monsoon going to be active in the southern Andaman Sea and adjoining areas by 23 May, according to favorable weather conditions for the southwest monsoon.

Also, in some areas of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala and Lakshadweep, the fishermen have been advised not to go to the Gulf of Aden and Southwest Arabian Sea for the next 48 hours.
