This Irish cricketer born in Punjab will show against India

Ireland announced the 14-member squad led by Gary Wilson for two T20 Internationals against India, which included the Punjab-born off-spinner Simranjeet Singhi Singh.

Simi Singh had a debate against New Zealand, but apart from this match, he did not get the chance to play against any other big team. He has played seven ODIs and four T20 Internationals so far.

Born in Bathlana village in Kharad district of Punjab, Simi has taken eight ODIs and six Twenty20 wickets. Joshua Little and Andy McBrine have also returned to the team for matches against India.

Ireland played the only T-20 international match against India during the 2009 World T-20 in England. India won the match with 4.3 overs remaining with eight wickets. Zaheer Khan took 4 wickets for 19 runs in this match.
