Recent reports from Nielsen India show that in India, smartphone users consume an average of 1GB of data per day.

Smartphone users in the country consume an average of 1GB of data per day, while only a few times ago it was average 4GB per month. There are daily online activities of entry level, mid and premium level segments with more than 90 minutes. This information is given in the Nielsen India report.

According to the Nielsen Smartphone 2018 report, the smartphone market in India is emerging the fastest in the world because the penetration of affordable handsets and affordable data has increased here. The demand for smartphones of all segments has increased here.

Nielsen India's director-technology IPG Abhijit Matkar said, "The speed of high-speed 4G internet, budget mobile handsets, calls and data prices have improved, the number of smartphones in India has increased rapidly."

In order to meet the demand of the mass market here, new Chinese and Indian handset manufacturers have launched affordable handsets in less than Rs 5,000.

When it comes to app usage, chat and VoIP apps in India are dominated by all customer segments, after which the browser app comes. The report said that uTorrent beta app is top of the data consumption, after which the name of YouTube comes.
