For the earth shaw, the long wait for Team India to enter the last-11 is over. The 18-year-old opener will make his debut in the series against West Indies in Rajkot. Prithvi was involved in the Indian team for the last two Tests of the series in England, but he was not given a chance to debut.

Opposition Mayank Agarwal was also involved in a debuting competition in the Indian team, but the earth stabbed him. A day before Thursday's Test match, India announced the names of 12 players.

In the captaincy of Virat Kohli, Kevin will start the earth shaw with Rahul Rahul. By making a century (149 runs, oval) in the last Test series against England, Rahul has managed to make his place. On the other hand, waiting for 27-year-old Mayank Agarwal has become longer.

Virat Kohli (captain), KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw (debut), Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur.

It is clear from the selection of the team that India will go with five specialist bowlers, in which Shardul Thakur may have to play the role of 12th player.

Three specialist spinners have been selected as Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav while Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav will take charge of fast bowling. Hanuma Vihari, who scored 56 runs on his debut in the Oval Test, has not got a place in the team.

Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant will come for batting at number six, while Jadeja will play an important role in the lower order in the absence of injury hearted Pandya.

Shaw and Agarwal had practiced on the nets on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, Shaw exercised on throw down. Local player Cheteshwar Pujara and vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane also spent considerable time on the nets.
