Rupee fall, open at 73.80 level against dollar


The rising dollar demand and the rise in crude oil prices are being seen on the rupee. This year, the rupee has seen a decline of more than 16 per cent so far.

On the first day of this business week, the rupee has weakened against the dollar. On Monday, the rupee is open 24 paise lower than a dollar.

With this fall, the rupee is open at the level of 73.80 rupees per dollar. Earlier on Friday, the rupee closed at 73.56 level.

The rising dollar demand and the rise in crude oil prices are being seen on the rupee. This year, the rupee has seen a decline of more than 16 per cent so far.

For a long time, there has been a continuous decline in the rupee against the dollar. Due to this, prices of foreign goods coming from abroad have led to fears.

On the other hand, the effect of the rupee weakness is also seen as rising prices of petrol and diesel. With the rise in crude oil prices, the impact of the fall on the rupee in dollar terms is also seen on fuel prices.
