In the case of serial blasts in Mumbai in 1993, Indian agencies have achieved major success in Dubai. In this case, security agencies have arrested two of India's most wanted terrorists. A captured terrorist has been identified as Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr was involved in the conspiracy to bring training, RDX and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Dubai-based home in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

According to the agencies, Abu Bakr was one of the main conspirators and was living in Pakistan and UAE in the Mumbai bomb blasts. The agencies have caught him on the basis of intelligence input. For the long time, Indian agencies have been trying to extradite both of the terrorists operating in the Most Wanted List. Abu Bakr's full name is Abu Bakr Abdul Ghafoor Sheikh, who was involved in smuggling with Muhammad and Mustafa Dausa. Abu Bakr supplied smuggled gold, clothes and electronic equipment from the Gulf countries to Mumbai and adjoining landing points.

The Red Corner Notice was issued against Abu Bakrin 1997 and since then the Indian agencies have been looking into it. But now, success has been achieved in Dubai. Abu Bakr has many business interests related to Dubai. He has married another woman from Iran. The sources of the central agencies confirmed this to INDIA TODAY on Wednesday evening and the process of surrender has already begun.

It is worth mentioning that on March 12, 1993, serial blasts were carried out in 12 places, in which 257 people were killed and 713 injured. The blast took place around Bombay Stock Exchange, Narsi Nath Street, Shiv Sena Bhawan, Century Bazar, Mahim, Jhaveri Bazar, Sea Rock Hotel, Plaza Cinema, Juhu Centaur Hotel, Sahar Airport and Airport Centaur Hotel. During the two hours, a total of 13 bomb blasts had lost property worth Rs 27 crore.

In this case, on November 4, 1993, chargesheets of 10000 pages were filed in which 189 people were accused. In these blasts, Dawood Ibrahim was made the main accused, but he has not been arrested yet. In 2006, the people of Mumbai who were convicted of the blasts in the 2006 blasts included Tiger Memon, Yakub Memon, Yusuf Memon. In the case of these blasts, the convicted Mustafa Dausa was killed in a hospital in Mumbai in 2017, while Yakub Memon has been hanged.
