Mahindra launches special edition of Thar, know what is special

Mahindra Thar is one of India's most powerful off-road cars. This is Mahindra's first car which got the BS IV CRDe engine and offers it in AC with three variants - DI 4 × 2, DI 4 × 4 and CRDe 4 × 4. The popularity of Thar is not only between India's off-road lover but also in the world.

Recently, Mahindra has launched a new special edition- Adventure Series 4 × 4 of Thar in South Africa. This is the same thar which is available for sale in India, although many off-road accessories have been provided to attract new customers.

Talk about the updates that are being offered with the new Mahindra Thar Adventure Series 4 × 4, it includes new off-road alloys with Bundu Gear's off-road bumper, a steel canopy and snorkel. The most important thing is that you can actually remove steel canopy with Front Passenger Row and take an Open-Top Driving Expiry.

Mahindra Thar Adventure Series 4x4 has a top bar in front bumper, which will give extra protection in the grill. Also included are Colored Recovery Points, Built-in LED Lights and High-Lift Jack Mounting Points. Optional Hankook Dianapro AT Off-Road Tires has also been offered in the Special Edition Thar.

Talking about mechanical specifications, Thar has a 2.5 liter turbo diesel engine. This engine generates a power of 107 PS and a peak torque of 247 Nm. It has 5 speed gearboxes for transmission. There are 3 color options - Rocky Seeds, Rede Rays, DSAT Silver. Its starting price is R293,999 (about 14 lakh rupees).
