Miller then scored 41 runs in 23 balls, but South Africa lost the lower order and lost eight wickets. The scores of both teams were on equal footing, due to which the match went into super over. David Miller was selected as the Man of the Match for his fantastic innings.

Miller scored 13 runs in the Super Over, thanks to South Africa adding 14 runs in this over. It was over by Lasith Malinga.

Sri Lanka's Imran Tahir could score only five runs in the over. It is notable that veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir from South Africa will retire from international cricket after this year's World Cup in England and Wales.
