Pakistan has extended the period of closure of the airspace near its eastern border with India, till June 15. This information was given by the country's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Pakistan had completely shut down its airfield in February after the attack on the training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (jaish-e-Mohammad) in Balakot by Indian Air Force. The country had opened its airspace on March 27 for flights going to all the places except New Delhi, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.
Pakistan had extended the ban imposed on its airspace by May 30 for flights going to India on May 15.
According to the notice issued to Airman on behalf of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the airspace near the eastern border along with India will remain closed till 5 a.m. (local equivalent).
According to a separate note issued by the CAM, Panjgur will be open for transit flights from the airspace Western countries because Air India is already using this aerospace.
On May 21, Pakistan had allowed Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj to go straight to the Pakistani airspace to attend the SCO conference in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
