The production of Spawn's film has found a hole in the road, according to Todd McFarlane himself, creator of the character, as well as scriptwriter and director of this adaptation.
Specifically, the problem is in selling the script. Investors who must put money to make the film go ahead cannot agree on the same script.
The author also clarified that if to sell the film has to change much the vision he has for it will abandon the project, because he has no intention of giving in to modifications of investors to make the film more attractive to a mass audience or any other reason they may have for not giving the current script a green light.
The film has no set date for the premiere. Filming should start this year if these problems are solved in time and McFarlane does not give up.
