Theron has told the Late Night with Seth Meyers program that she is ready for a second part and has anticipated that she would like to see the following in the new chapter on Andy's story. “With another female character that I'm very excited about. Quynh's character gets ahead in this one. She is Andy's right hand ”, begins the actress. “It was, they were both the first. Obviously, there is a relationship there that we haven't explored in this movie. So I am excited if we have the opportunity to do another one, to explore it because we are adding another female character, which I think would make it very interesting, ”she explains.
In the film, Veronica Ngo is in charge of playing this character. We only see some 'flashbacks' about her past with Andy. Also of her underwater torture. And, of course, his return. Andy also mentions that he had been searching for her for a long time, but at one point abandoned the investigation by not finding her. What intentions does Quynh have? Is it full of hate? Will she be the villain of the sequel? Maybe an ally? The truth is that the post-credit scene gives viewers the feeling that Quynh is up to no good.
The old guard follows Andy, an immortal warrior who leads a group of people with her same gift: none can die. Everything goes wrong when they are discovered by a member of the CIA, who teams up with a magnate from the pharmaceutical industry to experiment with them and try to discover the truth about their immortality. KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Harry Melling lead the cast alongside Theron. On these lines, do not miss the trailer.
