Lionsgate, the studio behind the franchise, has also revealed that it hopes to start production of both installments in early 2021 when Keanu Reeves becomes available to get back into the killer's shoes.
Keanu Reeves will once again mings into the shoes of the biggest big-screen killer once again. Lionsgate has announced that they are already developing John Wick 5, the fifth installment of the matrix actor's franchise and that it will be shot in succession with John Wick 4.

"We're busy preparing the scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick franchise," said Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer. "We expect to shoot both John Wick 4 and John Wick 5 in succession when Keanu becomes available early next year." Reeves is in full production of Matrix 4, the fourth installment in the saga created by the Wachowski sisters whose filming was affected in March by the coronavirus crisis.

The finale of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum has already advanced that the story of the killer still had one more episode. John Wick 4 was confirmed in June 2019 after the third installment added nearly $500 million to the total collection of the box office saga. The success of this franchise has also caused the story of the hitman played by Reeves to expand. A hotel-centric television series the Continental is being prepared, which only houses assassins and a film named Ballerina and will follow a murderer.
The success of the John Wick saga was almost unexpected. The first installment, John Wick (A Good Day to Kill), grossed more than $86 million worldwide and liked it a lot among viewers. Its sequel, John Wick: Blood Pact, reached more than $171 million at the box office. Finally, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, was made with more than $326 million in revenue.
