copyrightPS 1 Movierulz - Watch Ponniyin Selvan 2022 Telugu Dubbed Movie Online Review In 3Movierulz
The film starts off interesting by introducing the history of Chola and after establishing all the key characters the film loses track with a boring drama, the film becomes interesting after Vandyatevan (Kathy) comes in and the makers succeed in keeping that interest till the interval, the second half runs on huge emotions and grabs the attention of the viewers, but to Ponniyin Selvan. Everything is there but while watching we feel like we are missing something, I think the reason for that is the audience's lack of connection with Chola history. watch also Naane Varuvean movie review hit the below green button.
The film is undoubtedly a visual treat but the non-Tamil audience may face a lot of issues with the non-sync dubbing and nativity, but if you know the history of the Chola dynasty, the film is likely to be somewhat likable.
This kind of heavy subject casting becomes key, Vikram as Aditha Karikalan is brilliant, Karhi as Vandyatevan's comic body language is as good as one for the era, Jayam Ravi as Arunmolly Varma has limited screen presence but his role is written very well and Trisha as Kundavi, Aishwarya as Nandini and all the characters do their part. Well done.
Mani Ratnam, who is a master of bringing intense drama out of characters, has a lot of drama in 'Ponniyin Selvan'. Still, the acting is not very connected and he fails to bring out the intense drama this is not a Mani Ratnam type of film.
Technically, except for a few VFX shots, Ponniyin Selvan is good and AR is the most considerable backbone of the film. Rahman's songs and background score take the movie to another level, Ravi Varman's cinematography is good and the rest of the technical team does their best. Overall, Ponniyin Selvan is a treat to watch on screen if you know about the history of the Chola kingdom.
