After the failure of Liger, acclaimed Tollywood director Puri Jagannadh announced his next much-awaited film Double iSmart, a sequel to iSmart Shankar and starring maestro Ram Pothineni in the lead role. The pan-India film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 15, 2024.
The trailer launch event of Double iSmart was held in Vizag last night, which created a huge excitement among the audience and fans. However, many fans were left disappointed by the absence of director Puri Jagannadh. Puri in a video message apologised for not being there and revealed that he was busy with the film's censor work in Mumbai and other commitments due to which he couldn't attend. He expressed his appreciation for Vizag and encouraged fans to enjoy the trailer.

Double iSmart stars Kavya Thapar in the lead role and also includes talented actors like Bani J, Ali, Getup Srinu, Sayaji Shinde, Makarand Deshpande and Temper Vamsi. The film stars Sanjay Dutt in the role of the main antagonist, whose presence has further increased the excitement around the film. The music is composed by Mani Sharma, which is going to add a new dimension to the action and drama of the film.
Despite Puri Jagannadh's video message, fans praised the trailer and shared their reactions on social media. The grandeur of the film and the thrilling action sequences have increased the expectations of the audience. This excitement towards the film shows that Double iSmart is all set to rock the box office.
